Haj Arafa App
This case study presents a mobile-first e-commerce experience designed by Ahmed for the Haj Arafa brand. Tackling deeply nested mobile catalogs and checkout friction, Ahmed restructured the journey around search-first navigation and consolidated five separate checkout steps into one streamlined accordion flow with guest purchase. Designed to WCAG 2.2 standards with clear touch targets, the project demonstrates how thoughtful mobile architecture simplifies product discovery.
For Cairo International Airport, Ahmed designed the Command Hub — an operational telemetry dashboard built in Tableau for station managers. The challenge was organizing dense airport data into an intuitive visual system. Ahmed structured the interface across four operational quadrants, integrating real-time ground telemetry with an automated early warning radar that flags flight turnaround risks forty-five minutes before departure, giving operations teams immediate situational awareness.
This case study details the UX architecture of an all-in-one enterprise HR platform designed by Ahmed. Addressing fragmented email threads and manual spreadsheets, Ahmed engineered a modular SaaS interface featuring employee self-service, role-based approval routing, and accessible interactive calendar timelines. A core design decision was a one-click batch review modal, allowing department heads to review and approve recurring team schedules from a single focused view.
Wa-Zaker, or Daily Fortress, is an accessible, offline-first progressive web app designed by Ahmad Mahdi as a peaceful daily remembrance companion. Built with zero ads, complete offline privacy, and serene Arabic typography, the app features dynamic daily dhikr tracking, an interactive tasbeeh counter, and three comfortable reading modes. It showcases how mindful design can eliminate digital distraction and create a calm, focused spiritual space on any screen.
A Data-Driven LEGO Explorer is an interactive analytics project designed by Ahmed to celebrate catalog history and set economics. Leveraging Python and Power BI to analyze over seventy years of data across ten thousand sets, Ahmed built dynamic cross-filtering dashboards and a specialized price-per-piece efficiency matrix. Featured on Maven Showcase, the platform turns vast open datasets into an engaging visual playground for collectors and design analysts.
